Microsoft office even though being the most used office suite available in the market so far has ignored PDF document handling for a long time. In Office 2010 , Microsoft provided native support for you to convert/save Word document, Excel document or Power point presentation directly to Pdf document .Simple and straight forward.
File > Save As
Choose Save as type to *.pdf from Save As Dialog box. Click Save ,Your work is done.
It is possible to save as pdf from Office 2007 also by using the Add In available for download from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7
But till now ,it was not at all possible for you to open or edit a pdf file in word document. You have to depend on Adobe acrobat or some 3rd party components for editing a pdf files even if the change required is very minor.
In the upcoming version Microsoft Office 2013 this is very much possible.
File > Open
Choose File of type as *.pdf in Open dialog box and select the desired pdf file to edit.
Open pdf document do the desired editing and save it back to pdf.
This is absolutely a great feature in microsfot office . Now you don’t need Adobe acrobat or any other 3rd party editor to do some changes in the pdf document.
